Lextura is operated by PolyphasicDevs ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how Lextura handles information when you use the Lextura mobile application.

- On supported devices, Lextura may use Apple TrueDepth APIs to detect whether your attention is on screen so playback can pause and resume appropriately.

Information We Process
TrueDepth and Attention Detection
On supported devices, Lextura may use Apple’s TrueDepth APIs to determine whether your gaze or attention remains on the reading screen. This is used only to support the app’s attention-aware playback feature, including pausing when attention leaves the screen and resuming when attention returns.
Lextura does not use TrueDepth APIs for facial recognition, identity verification, advertising, profiling, or analytics unrelated to the attention-aware reading feature.
To the extent TrueDepth-related information is processed for this feature, it is processed on device for the app experience described above. We do not intentionally collect or retain raw camera frames, depth images, or facial geometry templates as part of providing this functionality.
App Data Stored On Your Device
Lextura may store app information needed for normal operation, such as:
- Imported reading content or references to content you choose to open in the app
- Your reading speed, playback preferences, and related settings
- Reading progress, recent sessions, and other local app state
- Whether attention-aware features have been enabled or configured on your device
How We Use Information
We use information handled by Lextura to:
- Provide the reading interface and reading-session functionality
- Enable attention-aware pause and resume on supported devices
- Save your preferences and reading progress
- Improve reliability, diagnose issues, and maintain the app
TrueDepth Data and Privacy
Apple treats data accessed through TrueDepth APIs as sensitive. Lextura uses TrueDepth-related capabilities only for the limited purpose of attention detection during reading sessions on supported devices.
We do not use TrueDepth data to personally identify you. We do not sell it. We do not use it for third-party advertising, marketing, or data brokerage. We do not provide raw TrueDepth imagery or facial-mapping data to third parties.
How Data Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share TrueDepth-derived information for advertising or marketing purposes.
Information may be handled by Apple platform services where necessary to operate the app on your device, but we do not provide raw TrueDepth camera data to third parties as part of Lextura’s attention-aware playback feature.
Data Retention
Lextura generally retains local app data on your device until you delete it, remove the app, reset the app’s data, or overwrite that data through normal app use.
We do not intentionally retain raw TrueDepth images, depth maps, or facial geometry templates as part of providing attention-aware playback.
Your Choices
You can:
- Disable or stop using attention-aware features within the app, where available
- Stop using Lextura on devices that support TrueDepth features
- Delete the app and its locally stored data from your device
- Manage relevant Apple privacy and device permissions through iOS or iPadOS settings, where applicable
Children
Lextura is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through an account system or web form.
Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the app’s design to protect information handled by Lextura. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
