Img2Wallet uses Apple's first-party Vision Framework and PassKit APIs for barcode detection and pass field extraction. Apple Wallet only accepts cryptographically signed passes, so the final signing step runs on our own server, which deletes your image as soon as the pass is signed.

What is Img2Wallet?

Img2Wallet is a native iOS app that turns screenshots, photographs and barcode images into Apple Wallet passes. It removes the manual data entry step usually needed to add cards, tickets and codes to your Wallet, and the passes it makes sync to a paired Apple Watch.

How does it create a pass from an image?

Img2Wallet uses Apple's Vision Framework to detect barcodes, QR codes and pass details from the image, then assembles a PassKit-compliant Apple Wallet pass that you can add with one tap. Apple Wallet only accepts cryptographically signed passes, so the signing step runs on our server, and your image is deleted as soon as the pass is signed.

What kind of images work?

Screenshots of digital cards, photos of physical loyalty cards, barcode and QR code images, gym membership cards, event tickets, gift cards and similar pass-style images all work. If a barcode or pass detail is visible in the image, Img2Wallet can usually convert it.

Does it work on Apple Watch?

Yes. Once a pass is added to Apple Wallet through Img2Wallet, it appears on your iPhone and your paired Apple Watch like any other native Wallet pass, ready for scanning at gates, gyms and tills.

Are my images sent to a server?

Your image is sent to our own server for the final signing step, because Apple Wallet only accepts cryptographically signed passes. It is deleted as soon as the pass is signed, is never shared with advertisers or anyone else, and there is no signup. Full detail is in the Img2Wallet privacy policy.

Which barcode formats are supported?

Img2Wallet supports the barcode formats used by Apple Wallet itself: QR codes, PDF417, Aztec and Code 128. These cover the vast majority of loyalty cards, tickets, vouchers and access passes.
